Arber Xhekaj is becoming a real star in Montreal, but also throughout the NHL. His story is unbelievable and he is a very nice guy. He's funny, he's good, he plays hard and the fans love him. In fact, he was on Chris Nilan's <i>Raw Knuckles Podcast</i> and Nilan asked Xhekaj if he told Slafkovsky, who he's had to defend several times this year, to keep his head up. The CH rookie revealed what he told the big Slovak and it's hilarious. <q>I told him, how many dinners do you want to pay me <i>big guy</i>. Keep your head down, I'll take your free meals. - Arber Xhekaj</q> His answer is just perfect and you can immediately notice that the two young players have a good relationship. It has to be said that this is the beauty of the Habs' lineup right now, when it's essentially young players like them that have been pulling the club along since the beginning of the season. As my colleague Vincent Fournier of LetsGoHabs.com explained so well, what's nice to see is that Slafkovsky doesn't look down on Xhekaj. He doesn't think he's someone else. As we've seen in the past, that's really not the case with all first overall picks. There is a real chemistry that seems to be building among the Tricolore's youth and it's beautiful to see!
