Max Pacioretty, a forward with the Carolina Hurricanes, has ruptured his Achilles tendon twice in recent months.

We've recently discovered that the former captain will miss eight to nine months this time due to this most recent statement.
Keep in mind that at the initial rupture, we discussed a six-month break.
If all goes according to plan, Pacioretty will be prepared for the start of the upcoming season after having surgery in Finland.
