The Jets welcomed the return of Dylan Samberg and Cole Perfetti at the team's practice today, but the catch is that they were both in non-contact jerseys.

There was a welcome sight at Jets practice today, as Dylan Samberg and Cole Perfetti both returned to the ice, albeit in non-contact jerseys. Still, it is a good sign towards their eventual return.
Adam Lowry was also on the ice but in a regular jersey, taking full contact, which is even more great news for the team.
According to Scott Arniel, Cole Perfetti is «slightly ahead of schedule» in his recovery from an ankle sprain he suffered in a preseason game. Perfetti is reportedly aiming to return at some point in the middle of November or so.
It was announced in September that defenseman Dylan Samberg would miss about six to eight weeks with a broken wrist, and Arniel's recent update on Samberg's status was less definitive and less positive than Perfetti's.
Samberg's exact recovery timeline at this point is still up in the air. Samberg emerged last season as an important top-four defenseman for the Jets.
He scored 20 points in 60 games, averaged 21:08 time on ice per gameand played a massive role on the penalty kill. Samberg led Jets players in shorthanded ice time per game during the team's highly successful 2024-25 campaign.

Adam Lowry should be the first player back in action out of all 3

Lowry, the Jets' captain, is reportedly trending towards a return close to the end of this month or early November. Lowry is still completing his recovery from a hip surgery he underwent back in May.
He returned to practice last week in a non-contact jersey and is now taking full contact, an undeniably positive sign for the likelihood that he'll be able to return at some point in the coming days.
