Tonight, NHL analyst and insider Cam Robinson has provided an update on the Vancouver Canucks continue search for forward depth. Over the last month the Vancouver Canucks have been absolutely decimated by injuries particularly up front. The losses of Filip Chytil, Nils Hoglander, and most recently Conor Garland have left the Canucks severely lacking in help for Elias Pettersson. GM Patrik Allvin recently made a trade for Lukas Reichel to help fill in but through three games the young forward has struggled to find his way on to the scoresheet despite good moments.

Loading from Twitter ...

This has left fans begging Allvin for another move for a more veteran presence in the lineup and tonight Cam Robinson of Elite Prospects has suggested the Canucks could target Oskar Sundqvist of the St. Louis Blues.
Canucks Connected to Blues Veteran Forward Oskar Sundqvist
During a recent appearance on the Sekeres and Price Show, Cam Robinson spoke about potential players Patrik Allvin could target. According to Robinson's sources, the Canucks have checked in on the availability of Blues veteran center Oskar Sundqvist.

Loading from Twitter ...

Sundqvist, 31, would not be the answer for a second line center replacement but after losing so much depth would be incredibly helpful. He brings nearly 500 games of NHL experience and a unique skillset that head coach Adam Foote could use up and down the lineup. While Sundqvist isn't a game changing addition the Canucks need to take what they can get right now and the Swede would be cheap to trade for and likely fit right in to what the Canucks want to do.
