The Canucks have sent down forward Nils Aman to AHL Abbotsford and recalled Mackenzie MacEachern to replace him as the team deals with many injuries. The Vancouver Canucks have made two roster moves before they embark on their three-game road trip. The team has called up winger MacKenzie MacEachern from the AHL's Abbotsford Canucks while assigning Nils Åman there.

Loading from Twitter ...

Loading from Twitter ...

MacEachern has played seven games with Abbotsford this season, scoring two goals and recording just four penalty minutes. The team is hoping he can be of help while they deal with a ton of injuries. While usually a productive minor-league force, MacEachern has struggled heavily in his first few weeks with Abbotsford. He has a team-worst minus-nine rating. It's been a tough start on the whole for the reigning Calder Cup Champions, though. They're 2-5-0 through seven games and have only scored 12 goals, so you can't only blame MacEachern.
MacKenzie MacEachern won the Stanley Cup with the St. Louis Blues in 2019
MacEachern does have some decent NHL experience. The 31-year-old forward has played in 123 games, scoring 11 goals and recording 20 points. He is also a Stanley Cup champion as he was part of the St. Louis Blues team of 2019. As for Åman, he has played in just two games for the Canucks this season and has yet to record a point while averaging only 8:40 of ice time. He has already played four games in the AHL this year, where he has accumulated three assists. Vancouver will once again hit the road, starting with a Thursday night matchup against the aforementioned Blues, so MacEachern can already get an opportunity to play against his former team. The Canucks and St. Louis have already played once this season, with the Blues defeating Vancouver by a score of 5-2. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:00 pm PT.
