Canucks' Kiefer Sherwood recently got injured, and Vancouver's head coach, Adam Foote, provided a frustrating update today, saying he could miss a week.

Vancouver Canucks winger Kiefer Sherwood is listed as day-to-day with an injury, according to head coach Adam Foote. He played nearly 19 minutes during Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, but did not practice Monday.
Sherwood, 30, has been one of the few positives for Vancouver this season, leading the team with 17 goals.
His name has come up in trade rumors since the Canucks began rebuilding, and it surfaced again when the team traded star defenseman Quinn Hughes in December to Minnesota.

Kiefer Sherwood's expected timeline for a return to action

Sherwood will be out for as long as a week, but he is very keen to resume action, according to Foote.
The St. Louis Blues were also dealing with health concerns on Monday. Defenseman and former Oiler Philip Broberg sat out practice Monday after suffering an upper-body injury in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights just 55 seconds into the game.

This injury to Philip Broberg is coming off a big signing

Broberg, who signed a six-year, $48 million extension with the team earlier this month, had two goals and 15 points this season.
Forward Robert Thomas was unavailable for practice, although The Athletic's Jeremy Rutherford wrote that maybe it was a routine day to keep his skills sharpened, which Thomas has done a few times in the past.
The Blues are on a stretch of three consecutive losses and play the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.
