Oilers analyst Jason Gregor has shared the latest information on a multitude of Edmonton injuries, including Jake Walman, Jack Roslovic and Kasperi Kapanen.

Even though forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins recently returned to the Edmonton Oilers lineup, they've since lost multiple players to injury.
Kasperi Kapanen was banged up during practice, and Jack Roslovic was hurt after blocking a shot during a recent game against the Dallas Stars.
Per Oilers analyst Jason Gregor, both Roslovic and Kapanen will likely be unavailable for at least another three weeks, but Walman will likely be able to suit up later this week.
Walman won't play tomorrow. Later in week is goal. Roslovic and Kapanen might get in a game before Christmas break, but most likely they return after, so another 3+ weeks for both.
Gregor then responded to a fan who asked about head coach Kris Knoblauch's descriptions of injuries, saying he believes the Oilers' bench boss is as honest as he's able to be when describing them.
I think he went best case for a few, but the past three he's said pretty much what it looks like...he said multiple weeks for both Roslovic and Kapanen last week and that hasn't changed.

The Oilers next host the Minnesota Wild tomorrow night.

NHL Analyst David Pagnotta Shut Down Rumours Of Firing Kris Knoblauch

Amidst the slow start for the Oilers yet again this year, there have been plenty of rampant rumours that Edmonton management could soon decide to make a coaching change despite having recently signed Knoblauch to a three year extension.
But per NHL analyst David Pagnotta, that's not likely to happen.
I know a lot of people in Alberta are going nuts as well for something, but you just signed Knoblauch to a three-year extension. The Flames just signed Ryan Huska to a two-year extension. You're probably not signing these guys and then making a coaching change two months later.

I get it that everyone's going nuts about this, losing their minds, but maybe it's the roster construction that's not up to snuff for some of these teams. Maybe the realism in Toronto is not deep enough, and Edmonton's not deep enough right now.

So far, the Oilers are in sixth place in the Pacific Division at 11-10-5.
