In 16 games this year with Springfield, the 21-year-old has put up seven points (4G, 3A). In 79 games of AHL play, the native of Espoo, Finland, has chipped in 41 points. He was drafted in round 3, pick 73 in 2022.
Why Jimmy Snuggerud has been so valuable for the Blues
Snuggerud, 21, has played in every one of the 26 games for the Blues this season and has accumulated 11 points (5G, 6A). In total, Snuggerud has 15 points in 33 NHL games played since making his debut last year. Toropchenko, 26, has played in 17 games this year, recording two points (a goal and an assist), and 15 penalty minutes. In Toropchenko's 276 games in the NHL, he has accumulated 62 points and 97 penalty minutes. Toropchenko is from Moscow, Russia. The Blues will look to shuffle their roster during this time as Snuggerud undergoes surgery and Toropchenko undergoes rehabilitation. Kaskimaki's recall provides some help in the process for St. Louis during this injury-riddled period.
