NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has revealed that former Canucks coach Rick Tocchet is interested in several Vancouver players and could poach them over to Philly.

The Vancouver Canucks are apparently willing to trade away some of their veteran players who are eligible to become unrestricted free agents next year.

The three teams interested in Vancouver Canucks players

Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman indicated that several teams, such as the Minnesota Wild, Boston Bruins, and Philadelphia Flyers, are among those potentially interested in Vancouver players.
Most of the potential suitors are after left winger Sherwood, who tops the Canucks' goal-scoring table with 12 markers and comes with only a cap hit of $1.5 million.
Sherwood, aged 30, qualifies for UFA status this summer and comes with no trade protection.
In particular, it is reported that the Flyers are looking for a center, and Vancouver has some players that the former coach of the Canucks, Rick Tocchet, knows well.
"Vancouver has players Rick Tocchet likes."

Friedman was told to keep an eye on Philadelphia, as they may look for some of Vancouver's players, and it is just a matter of which ones might be suited for them.

Why it may be difficult for the Canucks to trade Conor Garland

Other possible trade candidates may include right winger Conor Garland, who signed an extension for six years that starts in July and makes it difficult for the Canucks to trade away.
Another possible trade candidate may include defenseman Filip Hronek, who has six years left on an average salary of $7.25 million and comes with trade protection.
In Vancouver, talk is also brewing about what the trade landscape holds for the future of captain Quinn Hughes, who is signed until 2026-27.
Speculation is that Hughes may be reunited with his brothers, Jack and Luke Hughes, or that Hughes may be traded to the Flyers.
Although the Flyers have shown little interest in Hughes, the team may look to acquire someone who can jump-start their rebuilding process.
It definitely appears that the Canucks are taking their time in making moves and evaluating what they can get in return for some of their older players, such as Sherwood.
