Fan Asks Jack Hughes About Quinn Joining the Devils - His Response Says It All

Devils forward Jack Hughes was asked by a fan if his brother and Canucks' Quinn would join New Jersey, and he smiled and said, "There's cameras around".
Jack Hughes has never been reluctant to say how much he'd enjoy playing with his older brother, Quinn Hughes, the Vancouver Canucks captain. The 24-year-old Devils superstar already plays with his younger brother Luke in New Jersey.
Jack was drafted first overall by the Devils in 2019, and Luke was drafted fourth overall in 2021. Quinn was drafted seventh by Vancouver in 2018.
Jack is in the third year of his eight-year, $64 million contract, and Luke signed a seven-year, $63 million deal. Quinn has two seasons remaining on his six-year contract.
After a second-round appearance in 2023-24, the Canucks took a step back last season, finishing fifth in the Pacific Division and missing the playoffs for the fourth time in five years.
Canucks President Jim Rutherford has Publicly Acknowledged the Brothers' Possible Reunion
In April, Canucks president Jim Rutherford went so far as to suggest finding a way to bring Jack and Luke to Vancouver somehow in a bid to keep Quinn long term.
Quinn, 25, is a two-year Canucks captain and 2024 Norris Trophy winner. He's already Alexander Edler's equal for most points by a defenceman in franchise history with 409: Edler accomplished it in 925 games; Quinn in only 433.
The Hughes brothers have also had success together internationally, leading Team USA to silver at the 2019 World Juniors. All three were invited to U.S. national team events in recent years, including the Olympic pipeline.
When a fan recently asked Jack when he's bringing Quinn to New Jersey, he smiled and said, "There's cameras around."
Let those words sink in a little bit, as they are definitely a panic starter. For now, the dream is still in a joking manner, but it's clearly still alive.
