Samuel Montembeault returns home with his head held high, gold medal around his neck. The goalkeeper was smoking hot during the World Championship, and his statistics are nothing short of impressive.

With a 6-1 record, a .939 save percentage and a 1.42 goals-against average, Samuel will be back just in time to start thinking about his next contract, and he's thinking about it.
"Yeah, I'm thinking about it a little bit. But I'd really like to sign an extension. Jake Allen got an extension before the start of last season, while Jordan Harris did it during the season. I still have a full year to look at it."

"We haven't talked about it much, but I know it's a possibility," he countered. I don't think they'll do it directly on July 1, they'll look at other files. There's no rush. I want to play in Montreal, I love it so much." - Samuel Montembeault

The Canadian took the opportunity to salute his gold medal.
Monty is really proving to everyone that he really can be the CH's goalie of the future.
