Before Martin St-Louis arrived with the Habs, we wondered what was going on with Cole Caufield. The small forward's production just wasn't good enough, even though he did a stint in the AHL.

It's true that the number 22 was then at his first skate in the NHL, but we felt that something was wrong. Everything was unblocked with the arrival of his childhood idol, Martin St-Louis.
Cole has 37 goals in 95 games in the NHL, despite a significant lethargy of about 30 games. It's already impressive to see him score with such regularity, but to know that he is part of the elite of the team's history is extraordinary.
In fact, in the last 80 years, only Maurice Richard, Jean Béliveau and Bernard Geoffrion scored more goals than Caufield in their first 100 career games with the Canadiens.
This statistic only counts for players who started their career in Montreal. This shows how special a player we have in Cole Caufield.
