While appearing on 98.5 FM with Mario Langlois, Canadiens player development coach Francis Bouillon made an important revelation about the next prospect he believes will make the jump to the NHL.

According to him, it is the 31st pick of the Tricolore in 2021 who will be the next to play in the NHL, namely Logan Mailloux.
"Logan Mailloux, that's the next one! He's the next one I see who's going to make the jump pretty quickly with the Habs (...) For me, he's a no-brainer that he's a National League player in the future" - Francis Bouillon

To our delight, the former Habs defenseman even added a second name about who is closest to playing for the big club.
And it is, not a big surprise given his performance this season, Joshua Roy.
<"When you see what he was able to do at the Junior Championship this year, you see that when you put him in a big situation, he's capable of performing. So, it bodes great for him." - Francis Bouillon

Obviously, their position is not guaranteed with the Tricolore. They may have to go through the Laval Rocket before they get a real chance in the NHL. However, in Bouillon's eyes, they are the two closest prospects to playing for the Habs.
