Winnipeg Jets Give an Injury Update on Multiple Players Including Jonathan Toews and Cole Perfetti
The Winnipeg Jets season is just a few days from officially beginning, and ahead of the regular season, they've given some major updates on key players.
Last season was a very successful one for the Winnipeg Jets, as the team finished first in the Western Conference, and heading into the 2025/26 season, they're full of confidence and hope that they can go a few steps further than they did in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
With the loss of Nikolaj Ehlers, they needed to make some additions, and they did so in three-time Stanley Cup Champion Jonathan Toews, and with much of the 2025/26 squad returning, it's easy to see them having another great campaign.
Jets give injury updates on key players
Now, the team are through the pre-season, but sustained some key injuries during that time, with the team now giving some key updates with just days before the regular season begins.
Fortunately, the update on Toews is good, as both he and defenseman Dylan DeMelo are back on the ice ahead of one of their final practices before the regular season.
Unfortunately, young star forward Cole Perfetti is not on the ice, and while that doesn't mean he'll miss the regular season opener, this isn't good news with the season just a matter of days away.
Ultimately, this is a team that has solid depth all around and can survive an injury scare or two, but for now, it appears as though most of their injured players are trending towards being available for the regular season opener, with more updates to come as the regular season is now just a matter of days away for them.
