NHL analyst Evan Waldner revealed that the next contract that Adam Lowry will sign with the Jets could be for four or five years and $4.5 to $4.75 million AAV.

The Winnipeg Jets have made sure to lock up multiple key pieces of their core for the long term over this offseason.
The team reached new deals with Morgan Barron (two years, $1.85 million AAV), Gabriel Vilardi (six years, $7.5 million AAV), and Dylan Samberg (three years, $5.75 million total), before locking up star forward Kyle Connor to an eight-year, $96 million contract just before the 2025-26 season began.
It would seem the focus has turned to captain Adam Lowry, who is entering the final year of his current deal.

NHL insider Darren Dreger believes it's only a matter of time before the two sides agree to a new deal

Via TSN's Darren Dreger, the Jets and Lowry are «getting closer» to an extension. His five-year, $16.25 million contract expires in July, and both sides appear well on their way to finalizing a new deal very soon.
For a player who turns 33 in March, a four- or five-year term seems most realistic, likely the latter, which could carry Lowry toward the twilight of his career unless he opts to continue playing into his late 30s.
His leadership, defensive reliability, and community presence suggest a cap hit in the $4.5-$4.75 million range would be fitting for the captain, according to NHL analyst Evan Waldner.
"A four-to-five-year deal seems most realistic, with five years being the most likely, one that would likely carry Lowry toward the end of his career, unless he chooses to keep playing into his late 30s. An appropriate AAV for a captain who leads both on and off the ice, and who plays such a significant role in the Winnipeg community, would likely fall in the $4.5-$4.75 million range."

Lowry returned to action Tuesday in Los Angeles after hip surgery in May, playing 14 minutes in a 3-0 loss to the Kings.
A native of St. Louis selected in the third round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Lowry has played his entire career with the Jets, with 121 goals and 273 points in 776 games.
With extension talks ongoing between Lowry and the Jets, the club resumes its six-game road trip Friday in San Jose, looking to build momentum as their captain gets back up to full speed.
