Tonight, during a new interview, new Winnipeg Jets forward Jonathan Toews shared new details on his health battle with Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS). Over the last two seasons, Jonathan Toews has been away from the NHL battling a complex illness that prevented him from being well enough to play. During this time, Toews confirmed he was dealing with CIRS but the details beyond surface level things were not disclosed for the most part. Toews revealed that he was on several medications that were meant to purge toxins from his body through various natural body processes. They give you certain medicines that basically pull toxins out of your tissues and in your bloodstream. That's when you're really when you're going to feel like you're on an emotional rollercoaster. Then you have other medicines that essentially help you purge it out. So you can kind of do the math from there.
