The Winnipeg Jets have gone through a rollercoaster week of play, both exhibiting their strengths and sometimes inconsistency. They began with a solid all-around effort in dominating the Vegas Golden Knights.

That energy was not translated to their second game, as they played a lackluster game in their disappointing loss to Utah.

Determined to bounce back, the Jets then arrived at a statement game in which they snapped the St. Louis Blues' 12-game winning streak and reasserted their dominance.

But the real test came in Dallas last night, where the Jets matched up against a Stars team desperate for a victory that would have brought the Central Division race to within two points, with each side having three games remaining.

Instead, Winnipeg rose to the challenge with one of the more complete games they played all season. They opened the scoring early, added to it in the second period, and then ran away with it in the third, coasting to a commanding 4-0 victory.

The victory pushed their division lead to six points and had them on the verge of clinching both the Central Division and the top seed in the Western Conference.
