A surprising lineup announcement before tonight's clash between the Central Division power Winnipeg Jets and Dallas Stars has Jets fans feeling concerned.

Thursday night features a true clash of the titans, as the Winnipeg Jets and Dallas Stars face one another at American Airlines Center.
Based on the latest lineup information from Jets head coach Scott Arniel, the Stars could get a major advantage for tonight's game. Both Nikolaj Ehlers and Neal Pionk have been designated as game-time decisions.
Ehlers has been unable to play since April 3rd when he was hurt against the Vegas Golden Knights while blocking a shot; he has 63 points (24G, 39A) in 67 games played.
Meanwhile, Pionk hasn't played since March 11 thanks to a lower-body injury. He has 37 points (9G, 28G) in 66 games played.
Per The Hockey News, the Jets' anticipated line combinations for tonight's game are as follows:
Connor-Scheifele-Iafallo
Ehlers-Namestnikov-Perfetti
Niederreiter-Lowry-Appleton
Tanev-Barron-Anderson-Dolan
Morrissey-DeMelo
Samberg-Pionk
Stanley-Schenn
Connor Hellebuyck has already been confirmed as tonight's starting goaltender.

Winnipeg Jets Looking To Overtake The Dallas Stars As The Premier Team In The West

The Jets and Stars are the top teams in both the Central Division and the Western Conference; if the Stars win in regulation, they can move to within 2 points of the Jets in the standings.
However, the Jets would move a full 6 points ahead of the Stars with a regulation victory and move a step closer to ultimately claiming the President's Trophy as the top regular season club in the NHL; they currently lead the Washington Capitals for 1st place overall by 3 points.
