This afternoon the Edmonton Oilers have made yet another emergency call-up due to their injury issues. Last night the Edmonton Oilers made the difficult decision to place defenseman John Klingberg on Long-Term Injured Reserve ending his regular season. This move allowed the team to activate Connor McDavid who then played for the Oilers last night. As a result of the move, the Oilers were left down a defenseman and in need of immediate reinforcements for the rest of the season. Today those reinforcements were officially set in place as the Edmonton Oilers Oilers announced a pair of roster moves.
Edmonton Oilers Make An Emergency Roster Move
According to new reports and an announcement from the team the Edmonton Oilers have called up defenseman Cam Dineen on an emergency basis while also returning goaltender Olivier Rodrigue to Bakersfield in the AHL.

According to reports the emergency re-call comes on the heels of a reported injury to trade deadline acquisition Jake Walman.

Dineen has made one appearance for the Edmonton Oilers this season while being a stand out player in the AHL for the Bakersfield Condors.

Hopefully, he will be ready for the challenge of NHL minutes as he may even be asked to step up big in the Stanley Cup Playoffs if called upon.
