A new report has indicated that the Vancouver Canucks are turning to a top forward prospect to help fix their depth issues after recent injuries.

With all three expected to miss time due to their respective injuries the Canucks are in need of reinforcements.
With the trade deadline already passed the only option for the Canucks is now internal help from the AHL.
Luckily the Canucks have a few good players they can turn to and bring up to the NHL squad and today it has been reported they will likely turn to one of those players.

Vancouver Canucks Expected To Call-Up Top Prospect To Replace Injured Stars

After the Canucks game against the New York Rangers Rick Tocchet was not able to give an update on the injuries suffered by Pettersson and Hoglander.
However, he did confirm that the team would likely need to call up a center to fill in for the time being.
This afternoon reports have confirmed that the center getting the call is expected to be Aatu Raty as he is now listed back on the Canucks roster on NHL.com.
This season at 22 years old Raty has taken a big step forward in the AHL being dominant at times tallying 39 points in 41 games.
In his NHL appearances this season Raty has been relatively quiet but has played in a bottom-six role.
With so many injuries at center it is likely that this is the first time we will see Raty get a chance to play a significant role in the NHL.
The Canucks will take on Jack Hughes and the New Jersey Devils tomorrow night as that will be Raty's first potential opportunity to take advantage of this new role.
