Today the Vancouver Canucks have gotten terrible news regarding injuries to a pair of forwards including superstar Elias Pettersson.

This game was supposed to be a great opportunity to see Pettersson and Miller face off on the ice and settle their differences through competition.
Pettersson came into this game on a hot streak after finally finding his groove once the NHL Trade Deadline passed.
Unfortunately, it seems that Pettersson has suffered a potentially serious injury as he and Nils Hoglander have been ruled out for the rest of today's game.

Elias Pettersson Ruled Out After Suffering An Upper-Body Injury

After being taken out of the game due to a potential upper body injury Pettersson has now ben ruled out for the rest of the game and could be out even longer potentially.
Pettersson left the ice after seemingly getting injured during a faceoff that went wrong.
The Canucks find themselves in a battle for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference and without Pettersson that battle could get a whole lot tougher for the team.
Hopefully, the injury is not as serious as it currently appears as Pettersson gets the necessary testing and evaluation done.
At the moment, the extent of Pettersson's injury is unknown but being unable to return to the lineup is not a good sign for his long-term health.
As more information is made available regarding his injury and how long he could be out we will pass along the latest news.
