This evening a new report from NHL insider David Pagnotta confirms the Canucks will be aggressive to fill a pair of needs through potential trades.

The Vancouver Canucks had a relatively quiet offseason outside of some extensions and the addition of Evander Kane.
The lack of new talent particularly down the middle at the center position has left a lot of fans uneasy about the upcoming season.
This was recently made even worse after the Canucks failed to land Anaheim Ducks center Mason McTavish as he instead re-signed.
Coming into training camp, GM Patrik Allvin confirmed the team is open to making deals and exploring the trade market.
Now, a report from David Pagnotta has revealed exactly the types of players the Canucks are looking for on the market.

To this point, any major upgrades were expected to have to wait until the trade deadline however, this new report gives hope that the Canucks could add competition for Filip Chytil and a true number two center for Elias Pettersson in the coming days.
