Now that he knows he's staying with the New York Rangers for at least the rest of the year, Vincent Trocheck is sharing his thoughts about what he's feeling.
Even though he was one of the players most heavily involved in trade rumours leading up to yesterday's deadline , Vincent Trocheck was not dealt away by the New York Rangers and GM Chris Drury.
But now that he knows that he is staying put, at least for now, Trocheck is admitting that he's happy that the stressful time of not knowing whether or not he was staying or going has come to an end.
I don't know. I was just happy for it all to be over with. It's a stressful waiting game whenever you're in talks like that.
But it is what it is. It's a business, and it's not the first time my name has been mentioned in trade rumors. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't, right? At the end of the day, I'm here to play hockey, and I'm a New York Ranger right now. That's what I'm playing for, and I'm going to continue to do that. - Vincent Trocheck

Trocheck still has a handful of years with an AAV (average annual value) of just under $6,000,000 on his contract he signed in the summer of 2022 from the divisional foe Carolina Hurricanes remaining.
The Rangers Won't Make The Playoffs For The Second Year In A Row
The Rangers have been a team starved for offense all year, and they've set a new dubious NHL record by being blanked seven times on home ice.
They already made a major change, trading Russian star Artemi Panarin to the Los Angeles Kings and receiving peanuts in return, which enraged Rangers fans, who are already at their limits with the heavily maligned GM Chris Drury.
