Tonight, ahead of his team debut new Winnipeg Jets Isak Rosen set expectations for his production sky high for the rest of the season.
The Winnipeg Jets pulled off one of the biggest trades of the deadline sending defensemen Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn to the Buffalo Sabres.
In return for the two, the Jets got several pieces the most highly touted of which is 22-year-old former first round pick Isak Rosen.
After trading for Rosen, Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff confirmed the young forward would immediately step into the Jets lineup and play the rest of the season in the NHL.
Ahead of his Jets debut, Rosen admitted he is hoping to do more than just step into the lineup as he wants to show the Jets they made the right decision trading for him.

During a recent interview, Rosen called his opportunity to play with the Jets a dream come true.
It's a dream to hear that. I've been trying to stay in the NHL for a while, got a lot of call-ups, but just been one game or two games and stuff like that. (This is a) good opportunity for me, and I'm thankful for that opportunity and I'm going to do my best to make the best out of it.
As for what Rosen feels like he can bring immediately to Winnipeg he pointed to his strong skating and his electric shot that helped him light up the AHL.
I build my game around my skating and smartness. I'm a goal scorer with a good stick on the forecheck too, to break up plays (while trying to) create some offence out of that. That's what I try to build my game around
While the Jets are likely out of the playoff race being able to watch young players like Rosen and the recently recalled Brad Lambert in bigger roles will bring much needed excitement to Jets games.
Hopefully, Rosen can succeed and prove he belongs in the NHL as a bright part of the Jets future going forward.
