A new report from NHL insider Pierre LeBrun has confirmed that free agent Jack Roslovic recently turned down a contract offer from the Edmonton Oilers. Heading into training camp many teams around the NHL continue to try and strengthen the depth of their roster. At this point in the season, free agents have mostly found new homes in the NHL or otherwise moved on to other opportunities. This is not the case for former Carolina Hurricanes forward Jack Roslovic. Despite having 39 points in 82 games with the Hurricanes last season Roslovic remains without a contract as training camp has begun. Earlier this month, Roslovic was connected to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks and now reports have confirmed that he turned down an offer from the Edmonton Oilers as well.
Jack Roslovic Turns Down a Contract Offer From the Edmonton Oilers
According to a report from Pierre LeBrun, Roslovic had been in discussions with the Oilers on a potential deal but turned down Stan Bowman's most recent offer. However, since that offer was made, Roslovic has now fired his agent and will be represented by Justin Duberman instead. I do believe there was an offer from the Edmonton Oilers at some point, but Roslovic, 28, turned it down. He has since switched agents. He's now with Justin Duberman. - Pierre LeBrun

Loading from Twitter ...

With Roslovic changing agents, it leaves the door open for the Oilers and Stan Bowman to potentially approach Roslovic once again. If the Oilers were going to sign Roslovic it would likely be within the coming days so he can get some preseason action before taking the ice for a meaningful game. As this situation continues to develop, we will pass along all of the latest news.
