This evening the Edmonton Oilers have finally released a statement following up on the terrifying incident involving a fan in medical distress. Last night the Battle of Alberta between the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers was brought to a sudden halt when a fan suffered a medical emergency. The fan reportedly collapsed and needed immediate medical attention from EMTs on site and to this point the status of that individual was unknown. The game was delayed for several minutes as the medical team attended to the fan and he was taken away via ambulance for further care. Now, just under 24 hours later the Edmonton Oilers have provided an update and put out a statement regarding what happened and the current status of the fan.
Edmonton Oilers Release A Statement Updating Fan's Condition
In a new post on X, the Edmonton Oilers have released and official statement confirming that the fan who suffered the medical emergency was attended to by on scene medical personnel.
