A likely Nick Robertson trade scenario between the Leafs and Oilers

It should be an important 2024-25 NHL season for both the Edmonton Oilers and the Toronto Maple Leafs, each seeking to end ultra-long Stanley Cup droughts. The Oilers last took home the Cup in 1990, while the Maple Leafs did it way back in 1967. An interesting storyline might be whether these teams could work out a trade involving skilled but underutilized forward Nick Robertson, who has asked to be moved out of Toronto. Robertson has voiced frustration over how limited his role is with the Leafs, and he could fit a need in Edmonton, with the Oilers looking to round out their bottom-six forwards.
