The next favorite destination for an NHL team is surprising

Just think of the Quebec Nordiques, who became the Colorado Avalanche. Now, a few teams are snapping them up financially, but never to the level of the Coyotes.

It's incredible how stubborn Gary Bettman is with this team. The club should have moved a long, long time ago. Even now, when their home is a 5,000-seat neighborhood arena and they're at rock bottom, a relocation still doesn't seem to be the priority. That's just terrible.

If Bettman ever comes to his senses, there are several cities that will be very interested in a team. Obviously, Quebec City tops the list, along with Houston and Atlanta. However, Salt Lake City would be the favorite.

That's what Eklund and Pierre LeBrun are saying.

Indeed, the owner of the Jazz in the NBA, really wants to invest in a hockey team in Salt Lake City and he has the means to do so. It remains to be seen whether this is a destination of choice for the NHL, but it will always be better than Arizona.
