The Vegas Golden Knights are still in the news for all the wrong reasons and it involves Jack Eichel

The Vegas Golden Knights' arrival in the NHL was successful, especially with their appearance in the Stanley Cup finals in their first year. Everyone wanted to play in Nevada and the perseverance of the staff to get players that could make them win now, was real.

So much so that they sacrificed a lot to acquire important players, like Max Pacioretty who cost them Nick Suzuki, for example. Mark Stone as well
who cost them Erik Branstrom.One thing leading to another, the good reputation of Vegas faded.

The players are not being treated as well as they seemed at first. It's all very well to have fireworks and beautiful ceremonies, but when the time comes to part with a player, the team doesn't hesitate for a second to give them away. Talk to Marc-Andre Fleury, Max Pacioretty, Evgenii Dadonov and head coach Gerard Gallant, to name a few.

It's simple, the Knights have sacrificed a lot to win now and they are still not in a position to win. They rarely win a trade and there is one in particular individual that has people talking these days.


When Jack Eichel arrived in Vegas, everyone thought the Knights had made a big move. The full deal was:

To Vegas: Jack Eichel and a conditional third round pick in 2023.

To Buffalo: Peyton Krebs, Alex Tuch, a conditional first-round pick in 2022 and a conditional second-round pick in 2023.

If you simply compare the production of Tuch and Eichel, it's pretty easy to say that Buffalo won this trade, hands down.


Alex Tuch has really exploded in Buffalo, while Eichel has cooled off. At the price Eichel is being paid, Vegas may regret this trade for a long time.
