Vancouver Canucks reportedly eyeing Phil Kessel
While Vancouver haven't ruled out adding another key piece via trade, it has now been revealed that veteran Phil Kessel is in their sights as a potential free agent addition.
The 36-year old played all 82 games with the Vegas Golden Knights a season ago, and while he's not the player he once was, he could still be a valuable addition to this team. In those 82 games, Kessel tallied a solid 14 goals and 32 points, and given his playoff experience with three Stanley Cup wins, he could be a valued presence in this locker room.
Vancouver currently have a very deep roster, but Kessel could slide into any spot on their bottom-six, and if the Canucks are serious about a playoff run, this is the type of low risk move that would be perfect for them.
WILL KESSEL RETURN TO THE NHL THIS SEASON?
