NHL insider Jesse Courville-Lynch has reported that Blues goalie Jordan Binnington has the Oilers on his no-trade list, according to fellow insider Andy Strickland.

Lately, there have been quite intense trade rumors regarding the Edmonton Oilers and acquiring a goaltender due to the struggles exhibited by both Stuart Skinner and Calvin Pickard early in the season.
Names like Tristan Jarry and Jordan Binnington have been rumored in connection with being possible prey.

Why Jordan Binnington would be the most relevant fit for the Oilers

But in consideration of his Stanley Cup exposure, Binnington would be relevant to a club pursuing its third successive Final appearance.
NHL insider Jesse Courville-Lynch broke news he received from fellow insider Andy Strickland that the Oilers are on Binnington's no-trade list.
The news broke out during the Cam and Strick Podcast episode that featured former Dallas Stars coach Peter DeBoer and Jordin Tootoo, the former NHL player.
According to this report, unless circumstances have changed, Binnington would most likely not join the Oilers.
This year, however, he has registered a 3.20 goals-against average and .878 save percentage with the struggling St. Louis Blues; yet, his track record in crunch situations is exactly what the Oilers are looking for in their next netminder.

The goalies the Oilers may now be forced to turn their attention to instead

However, if the report should be believed, the list of candidates that the Oilers are left with in terms of goaltenders has dwindled to only Jarry as well as Cam Talbot.
This may alter the way in which the Oilers attempt to get a qualified goaltender in net in the future.
With the Oilers still struggling with consistency from Skinner and Pickard in net, anything that happens in the crease should be watched closely, especially if this club hopes to be competitive in the deep Western Conference.
