Former NHL player and now analyst, Frank Corrado, took to the airwaves to blast the Canucks for trading Dakota Joshua to the Leafs, saying they will regret it.

Former NHL defenseman Frank Corrado thinks the Vancouver Canucks will regret the trade of winger Dakota Joshua much more than the trade of goalie Arturs Silovs.
Earlier in the month of October, Vancouver traded Dakota Joshua to the Toronto Maple Leafs in a deal where Vancouver received just a 2028 fourth-round selection.
The same week also saw Vancouver trade Arturs Silovs to the Pittsburgh Penguins in a deal which Vancouver received forward Chase Stillman and, once again, a fourth-round selection, this time in 2027.
Frank Corrado was on the show of 'Sekeres & Price' and openly discussed his take on the trade, saying he does not like the move of sending Joshua packing.
"I think the Joshua one more than the Silovs one, because they're still pretty well hedged in net. I would have said the player as opposed to the goaltender, maybe not in every situation."

- Frank Corrado

Corrado Admitted He'd Rather the Canucks Even Trade Thatcher Demko Over Joshua

He added that even if the Canucks had traded star goalie Thatcher Demko instead, he would've responded the same. For him, Joshua brings something explosive and dynamic.
Corrado confirmed Vancouver later brought in Evander Kane as a "blessing in disguise," but added scarcely any winger is probably not as good as Joshua's value once he gets rolling, recalling the line chemistry last season between him, Teddy Blueger, and Conor Garland.
He complimented Joshua for turning the game around and announced his style of game and timely play that is superior to all others.
"Change the temperature of the game and frustrate you with what he's doing away from the puck, and then frustrate you because he can actually score, you know, and kind of finish the job."

- Frank Corrado
He remained more conservative in his opinion about the Silovs trade, citing the 23-year-old goalie still being in the developmental stages.
"And Artūrs Silovs is still working his way through the NHL process. Could end up being a great goaltender, could eventually go back to the AHL. Who knows?"

- Frank Corrado

Co-host Price surmised the move most likely came down to roster fit and salary leeway, even if it makes the team poorer in the short run.
