The Jets face the Oilers tonight in a preseason matchup taking place at Rogers Place in Edmonton, and lineups for the game have been revealed.

Winnipeg is still waiting for its first victory after losing a 3-2 decision against the Oilers on Tuesday, and will now play its first road game tonight at Rogers Place against the same opponent. Like they often do in September, the Jets are icing a young roster.
Veterans Nino Niederreiter, Vladislav Namestnikov, and Alex Iafallo will play their first preseason games, while fifth-round pick from 2022 Dominic DiVincentiis starts between the pipes.
The 20-year-old, who excelled at the 2025 Prospect Showdown with a 38-save effort, will go the full distance with Isaac Poulter providing relief.
Forwards Colby Barlow, Brad Lambert, and Danny Zhilkin will play on a line together, providing another opportunity to make an impression. Lambert was more comfortable on Tuesday with two assists.

Elias Salomonsson is Dealing With an Illness and Will Miss Some Time

Ashton Sautner fills in on defence for Elias Salomonsson, who is out with illness. The Jets play Calgary at home on Saturday, and then roster decisions will be made.
The Oilers are also relying on a youth movement. Andrew Mangiapane, who scored in Wednesday's 4-1 defeat against Seattle, will share ice time with Adam Henrique, who could replace Zach Hyman while he is out.
Star prospects Ike Howard and Matt Savoie will also play bigger roles. Incidentally, they are separating Darnell Nurse from Jake Walman, whom they will combine with Troy Stecher.
Both GM Stan Bowman and head coach Kris Knoblauch have intimated that Walman will, at some point this year, be given a longer look on Nurse's right side, but preseason is about as ideal a time as any to test chemistry.
Both teams are also still perfecting lineups and testing youth; today's contest provides another crucial step towards end-of-roster cuts. Look for lots of fights over roster spots as the preseason gets serious.
