The Jets will take on the Kings on Saturday, and Winnipeg is not getting any love from the California analysts, as one has issued some pretty grim predictions.

Coming off an electric shootout victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Kings are heading north this weekend to face the Winnipeg Jets, but not everyone is taking the Canadian team seriously.
In fact, NHL and Kings analyst Andrew Miller's latest predictions sound more like shots at the Jets than simple game analysis.
Miller expects Quinton Byfield to extend his goal streak with not one but two markers against Winnipeg and has Anze Kopitar dominating the faceoff circle, winning a staggering 80 percent of his draws.
"Quinton Byfield keeps his goal streak alive with two markers vs. Winnipeg on Saturday and Anze Kopitar wins 80 percent of the faceoffs he takes vs. Winnipeg".

- Andrew Miller

It's as if he's expecting the Jets to simply roll over on home ice. The disrespect doesn't stop there.
Miller highlights Byfield's breakout performance in Vegas, where he scored once and added an assist, suggesting Winnipeg's defense won't fare any better.
He also points to Kopitar's faceoff dominance against Colorado as a sign of what's coming next, again implying that the Jets can't compete in the circle or contain LA's veteran core.

At Least Andrew Miller Didn't Completely Write Off Connor Hellebuyck Having a Strong Performance

To his credit, however, Miller does give each tender, Connor Hellebuyck and Darcy Kuemper, the possibility of 30-plus stops. That's an extremely small concession.
For a group trying to make a name for itself early, such talk has to sit poorly in the Jets' room. Winnipeg has the firepower to turn the talking points around, and the game Saturday comes with a bit of an edge.
If the Jets are seeking respect, perhaps no better way exists to gain it than by shutting up the Kings and the pundits who already seem to write them off.
