In some unfortunate news coming out of the Montreal Canadiens organization, their fan-favorite arena announcer at the famous Forum has sadly passed away.
The Montreal Canadiens organization has announced the tragic passing of a man many loved over the years, Marcel Belanger.

Marcel left his mark on an entire generation as an in-house announcer at the famous and legendary Montreal Forum.
The organization is showing tremendous class with a beautiful tribute to a man who greatly contributed to the rich history of the team during their most successful years, with a heartfelt post on social media.

Marcel served as the public address announcer at the Montreal Forum, placing him at the heart of many memorable moments in the team's history, including the Good Friday Massacre and the club's last Stanley Cup championship in 1993.

His voice and energy will forever be etched in Canadiens history, and he undoubtedly helped inspire a whole new generation of in-arena hockey announcers.
