When it comes to the NHL's Commissioner Gary Bettman, he's not a very popular guy amongst the NHL fanbase especially those in Canada.

Bettman was recently bragging about the NHL making over $6 billion dollars in revenue this season, but still can't seem to find a home suitable for the Arizona Coyotes.

Bettman has been hoping to keep the Coyotes in the desert some where, but rumors have been floating around of them being relocated.

This brought up the idea of why not either move the Coyotes to Toronto, or bring another franchise to the GTA similar to how the New York Rangers and New York Islanders coexist.

Bettmen was asked point blank, the possibility of either the Coyotes moving to the GTA, or even a second franchise joining?

To which Bettman predictable shut down quicker then Phil Kessel eats a hotdog.

No To A Second GTA Franchise

"The discussion takes place in your world more than it does in ours. It's a matter of speculation, it's a matter of putting things out there, but in terms of the interest, the reality, what's involved. It's not something that seems to be resonating the way other markets and other ownership requests are resonating for whatever reason or reasons"

- Bettman on the idea of a second GTA-based team

I think we all know that as long as Bettman is NHL Commissioner, there won't be any teams coming to Canada. In fact if Bettman had it his way he'd probably relocate some teams out of Canada sadly.
