According to social media reports, the Tampa Bay Lightning has offered a long-term contract to one of their important team members.

While Alex Killorn may not be the biggest star on the team, he is known for his determination and reliability. The team knows they can count on him when things get tough, and he is versatile in different situations on the ice.

Recently, Killorn received a contract offer from the team that drafted him in 2007. The offer has a low average annual value.

According to Puck Empire:

"The #Lightning 🇺🇸 have made a long-term contract extension offer to Alex Killorn 🇨🇦, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st. The offer has a low average annual value (AAV).

Killorn, 33, had 27 goals and 64 points in 82 games played with Tampa Bay last season.

He has been with Tampa Bay since being drafted 77th overall in 2007 and has played 805 games with the franchise. During his time with the team, he has scored 198 goals and 466 points, while also winning two Stanley Cups."

Killorn is Committed to Tampa

Killorn has always been clear about his loyalty to Tampa. Even when the NHL Expansion Draft took place for the Seattle Kraken and his team did not protect him, Killorn made it known that he considers Tampa his home and has no intention of playing for any other team. This shows his strong attachment to Tampa.

Considering his unwavering loyalty, it is likely that he will accept this offer for a long-term future with Tampa.
