RUMOUR: Former Boston Bruins Captain Patrice Bergeron Gearing up for Return

While Bergeron maintains that his skating is to purely keep in shape for alumni games, the boys on the Spittin' Chiclets podcast claim otherwise.

At this point, a return is still highly unlikely, as the 38-year old was confident in his decision this past summer, but with the Bruins flying high again, the former captain has said 'never say never'.

Bergeron has been spotted in the Boston area and has spent time around the TD Garden, raising even more speculation that his grand return is a possibility, but for now, it's tough to tell just how much stock to put in these rumours.

The Bruins may have failed to go on a deep run a season ago, but with the team still rolling once again, a return may give them the boost they need, especially if Bergeron is still in the top shape he's been in for his 20-year career.

In 2022-23, Bergeron put up an impressive 58 points in 73 games at 38-years of age, so while you shouldn't count on a return, the possibility has everyone around the NHL excited, especially Bruins fans.
