Pierre Dorion got himself into trouble and will have to answer for his actions
When you're an important public figure, like the general manager of a hockey team, for example, you always have to be careful about what you say, so you don't put your foot in it.
Just ask Senators GM Pierre Dorion, who made a huge blunder on the Cam & Strick podcast.
"Tim Stutzle has character for a European." - Pierre Dorion
- Feels Stutzle will be a top 5/10 player in the league. "Has character for a European. Pierre wanted 100 games for him at LW, DJ wanted 82. Some scouts had him at number 1 on their list. Obviously, this statement is making the rounds on the web, especially as there are few European players on the Sens.
Many are saying loud and clear that Europeans have less heart. This kind of comment goes down well with friends, beer in hand. But coming from a GM?
Dorion should never have said that. We're not suggesting that he dislikes Europeans, or even that he means what he said. Perhaps he simply misspoke. But he will certainly have to answer for his actions.
