According to reports from insider Pierre LeBrun, there's no timeline yet for Bergeron's future decisions. The Bruins chose to play the waiting game.
But something came up that could come in the mix.
Bergeron and his wife are expecting the birth of their fourth child in June.
Considering his history of injuries and family responsibilities, LeBrun suggest that Bergeron might be mulling over retirement.
"The Bruins are putting zero pressure on their captain. They've got all the time in the world to wait for him to make a decision. But as someone close to it said to me today, there is no timeline. Everyone is patiently waiting for Patrice Bergeron to decide his future."
