Milan Lucic Facing Potential Prison Time Due To His Recent Arrest

Milan Lucic was arrested on November 17th. Since this time we have gotten a lot of information to fill in the gaps. Recently, we found out what charges Lucic could face and his potential punishment.

Lucic Arrested After Domestic Dispute

The Milan Lucic arrest first was reported on November 18 a day after he had been arrested for a domestic dispute.

Breaking: Milan Lucic was arrested late last night after a domestic dispute.

It took another couple of days for the rest of the information to come out regarding what happened that night. Reports eventually confirmed that the altercation began when an allegedly intoxicated Milan Lucic lost his phone. He blamed his wife and became aggressive and violent.

Operations relayed to the responding officers that the reporting party/victim called and stated that her husband attempted to choke her, as per police records cited by the Globe. The victim stated that her husband could not locate his cellphone after returning to their apartment after a night out. She stated that the suspect began yelling at her, demanding his phone back, believing she had hidden the phone. She stated that she did not have the phone or know where it was.

After his arrest things quieted down for a couple of days until Lucic was arraigned. This provided the next steps as well as potential punishment.

Lucic's Arraignment Reveals His Fate

At his arraignment, Milan Lucic did not speak much. He only spoke to the judge and even then didn't say much. However, the legal process still was able to give us a lot of information on the next steps and eventual completion.

Lucic was arrested on suspicion of assault and battery on a family member, which carries a maximum penalty of 2 and a half years in prison. During his arraignment, we also learned that Lucic will next be in court in January of 2024.

Not guilty plea entered on behalf of Milan Lucic by the judge during his arraignment on assault and battery charges. He was released on personal recognizance and will appear via zoom for a pre trial court hearing January 19th.
