Major problem at the Habs: A hiring is imminent to resolve an internal crisis

The 2022-2023 season of the Montreal Canadiens is a real catastrophe on one point: the hecatomb of injuries.

Yesterday, another player was added to this endless list, as we learned that Christian Dvorak's season was over, as he must undergo knee surgery.

The situation is very alarming, and the team's management is concerned about resolving this problem as quickly as possible.

Of course, injuries are a normal part of hockey. However, there is no team in the NHL other than the Habs that has missed so many games of their regular players. The club is truly the worst in the league, and by a lot more.

What's particularly concerning is that all of these injuries have also affected several young players on the roster, which could impact their development. Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, Arber Xhekaj, Kaiden Guhle, among others, come to mind.

Some are seriously beginning to question the work of team doctors, athletic therapists and physical trainers. There is clearly a major problem somewhere in the organization that needs to be addressed this off-season.

In connection with this topic, while appearing on TVA Sports, journalist Renaud Lavoie suggested that the Habs would seriously consider hiring to address this glaring crisis.

He mentioned the upcoming addition of a sports medicine professional to the Tricolore's staff, to supervise the group already in place. It must be said that as much as the number of injuries is worrisome, misdiagnosis is also a major problem in the organization.

"I have a feeling that the Habs will make a hiring this summer." -Renaud Lavoie

It will be an important first step, but I doubt the Habs will stop at just one hire. Things could get busy behind the scenes of the team this summer.
