Major: It's now confirmed for the Canadiens and Senators
As you know, the Senators have been for sale by the Eugene Melnyk estate for some time. One of the Canadiens' shareholders, Michael Andlauer, is in charge of the purchase project, but it's a long process.
Well, it's just been confirmed: the transaction has been accepted!
Of course, Andlauer can't own shares in two teams at the same time, there'd be a conflict of interest. Here's what will happen with his 10% CH shares:
"According to several sources, Michael Andlauer's shares in the CanadiensMTL have been bought out by the franchise's current shareholders. There are therefore no new investors."
