John Tortorella Wastes No Time and Already Starts Calling Out Some Players
We all know the antics of John Tortorella, who has often been a real showman in press conferences. The Flyers' head coach has always got things right, even if the words he uses aren't always politically correct.
We're at the very start of training camp, and already Torts is making a fuss about Group B sucking.
I won't translate the exact words he used, but it's nothing to please the players concerned - quite the contrary. As Martin St-Louis said about Mike Babcock this week, you have to evolve as a coach and adjust to new methods.
Clearly, Tortorella will never change. Even so, we remember that St-Louis praised the merits of his counterpart, who was once his coach with Tampa Bay. He draws inspiration from him for certain things in his own coaching.
Nevertheless, with that kind of talk, the Flyers coach probably won't last long.
