First-round draft picks have been a pity with the Habs for far too many years. It's been a little better lately, but there's still some grumbling among fans, especially in the last two years. However, some gems are found a little later in the draft, as in the case of Brendan Gallagher in the 5th round, Rafaël Harvey-Pinard in the 7th round, Owen Beck in the 2nd round and, above all, Lane Hutson, 62nd overall.
