Marchand Takes a Leave of Absence From the NHL
The Boston Bruins have announced that team captain Brad Marchand is on a leave of absence to attend his grandmother's funeral.
The organization also revealed that Marchand is expected to return for the team's upcoming game against the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday.
"Brad Marchand returned home for services for his grandmother Frances O'Leary, who passed away last Friday. He's expected back for Thursday's game against Buffalo"
