According to Sportsnet's analyst, both Michael Hutchinson and Tyson Jost have been placed on waivers by their respective teams; the Detroit Red Wings and the Buffalo Sabres.

The goalie Hutchinson, 33, was drafted 77th overall in 2008 by the Boston Bruins. In 154 NHL games for the Jets, Panthers, Maple Leafs, Avalanche, Blue Jackets and Red Wings, he has a 57-62-18 record, with a .903 SV% and a 2.93 GAA. Less than two weeks ago, the goalie signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Red wings.
