This evening, the Winnipeg Jets and St. Louis Blues game has come to a strange halt as a linesman in the game has gone out due to an injury.

The Winnipeg Jets are looking to take a two-game advantage over the St. Louis Blues in a crucial first-round series.
In the third period, with the Jets up 2-1, the game was suddenly brought to a halt as one of the referees was escorted off the ice with a potential injury.
Reports have indicated that linesman Andrew Smith has left and will not return for the remainder of the game.
As Smith was taken off the ice, he seemed to be unsteady as a fellow referee helped him to the door, where he was then met by medical personnel and taken the rest of the way to the locker room.
Once he was taken off the ice, the game continued with the referee crew down one member while the standby official suited up to replace his injured counterpart.
This is the second linesman already that has gone down in the first couple days of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after there was a stoppage during the Minnesota Wild and Vegas Golden Knights game as well.
At the moment, the exact details of the incident that led to this injury or Smith's overall condition are unknown, as he remains out of the game.
As more details are made available in this strange and scary situation, we will pass the latest news along to you.
