Tonight, the Kelowna Rockets have provided an update on the health of Ty Halaburda after he was hospitalized due to a big hit during a playoff game.
The WHL playoffs are in full swing and currently the Kelowna Rockets and Everett Silvertips are in the middle of an intense series.
During game 2 of the series, Halaburda took a hard hit into the boards and was stretchered off the ice.
From there, he was taken to a local hospital for further testing and monitoring over the following day.
Now, the Rockets have been able to provide a positive update on Halaburda’s condition.

In a statement on social media the Kelowna Rockets confirmed that Halaburda has been released from the hospital and is on the road to recovery.
He will be forced to miss the rest of the season due to his injury but considering the initial fears this is a wonderful outcome.
Ty has been released from the hospital in Everett and will return home to Victoria with his family. He will miss the remainder of the season as he continues his recovery, with the Rockets medical staff overseeing his care moving forward.
Halaburda, 20, was a productive player for the Rockets this season after coming over in a trade from the Vancouver Giants.
Next season he will head off to the NCAA where he will play his freshman season with Colorado College.
We wish Ty Halaburda all the best in his recovery and hope to see him back on the ice dominating play again soon.
