A new report has linked Vancouver Canucks GM Patrik Allvin to a new role with the Minnesota Wild if he is fired.
Over the last few weeks, speculation has picked up regarding Patrik Allvin’s future with the Vancouver Canucks.
After yet another disappointing season and a trade involving the team’s captain Quinn Hughes many fans are calling for change to be made and Allvin to be fired.
While Allvin’s fate has not yet been determined, a new report from Patrick Johnston has indicated Allvin already has a new job lined up if fired.

According to Johnston, there is rumblings around the NHL that if Allvin is fired he will immediately join former Canucks captain Quinn Hughes and the Minnesota Wild as a scout
One league source thinks if he gets outright fired he will wind up moving to Minnesota to work as GM Bill Guerin’s top scout - Patrick Johnston
This would be a major shakeup that would likely cause controversy and frustration especially for Canucks fans after Allvin shipped of Hughes to Minnesota.
As the NHL season comes to an end, Allvin’s fate will likely be locked in quickly as the Canucks decide the future of their front office.
Once those moves are announced, Allvin will be able to decide whether Minnesota is the right fit for him or if he can find another General Manager position elsewhere.
